Personal Note

 

Began playing tennis at age of four.  Won the 12-under and 14-under National Championships twice.  Son of Czech immigrants.  Made big breakthrough after he decided to switch from a two-handed to a one handed backhand at the age of 12.  Enjoys playing golf and is a fan of Los Angeles Lakers.  Has a 5-7-career Davis Cup record in seven ties.  Established the Richard Krajicek Foundation in July 1993 for junior players in his country who don’t have funds to play pro tennis.  Richard was coached by Australian Rohan Goetzke since October 1990.
